Superior company among nominees for entrepreneurial awards

The University of Minnesota Duluth Center for Economic Development announced nominees for the 16th Annual Joel Labovitz Entrepreneurial Success Awards, which honor entrepreneurs and businesses in the Twin Ports and Arrowhead region.
Chris Trapp and David Timm of Charter Films in Superior has a chance to win the Established Entrepreneur Award.
Other nominees for the honor include Alan and Linda Johnson of Alan Johnson Photography, Thomson, Minn.; Dr. John H. Voss of Hearing Associates, Inc., Duluth; Rod Raymond and Tim Nelson of Fitger’s Brewhouse, Red Star Club, Burrito Union, and Brewhouse Beer Store, Duluth; Donna Venie of Personnel Dynamics LLC, Grand Rapids, Minn.; Connie Pearson of Precision Testing, Inc., Virginia, Minn.; Keith Erickson of Saturn Systems Inc., Duluth; Doug Sabo and Lorri Hanna of Soltreks, Inc., Two Harbors; John Hyduke of WestmorelandFlint, Duluth; and Ken and Annette Fischer of Wilderness Family Naturals, Silver Bay, Minn.
The awards ceremony and luncheon runs 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. April 22 at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center. Reservations are $25 per person and can be made online at www.umdced.com/labo or call 726-7298. The reservation deadline is April 18.
