Sadie Moen, 94, of Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center, died Saturday, April 5, 2008.

Sadie Moen, 94, of Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center, died Saturday, April 5, 2008.

She was born in Superior Oct. 27, 1913, to Mary and Adam Pomeranski. She lived most of her life in the Foxboro area.

Sadie loved gardening, crocheting, growing African violets, and enjoyed numerous bus trips to the Twin Cities for flower shows. She was active in the Patzau-Foxboro Garden Club, belonged to the All-Around Homemakers Club, and was a former 4-H leader. She was also a member of St. William’s Catholic Church and its Altar Society.

The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff at Middle River Health and Rehabilitation for the excellent care Sadie received during her stay.

Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, Colbein, in 1980, son, Donald, in 1989, grandson, Mark in 1957, and brother, Edward Pomeranski in 1979.

Sadie is survived by sons, Raymond (Phyllis) of Superior, Lloyd (Rose) of Reno, Nev., David (Terrie) of Burnsville, Kenneth (Peggy) of Foxboro; daughter-in-law, Ramona Moen of Duluth; 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Guy, Steve, Kirby, Ryan, Mark and Todd Moen.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. in the Thompson-Hegstrom Funeral Home and continues Thursday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. Mass in St. William’s Catholic Church. Burial will be in Summit Cemetery.
