Campus telephones inoperable this weekend

The University of Wisconsin-Superior campus telephone system will be inoperable from 8:30 a.m. Saturday until late Sunday night while it receives a software upgrade.

The outage will affect telephone and voicemail in all university buildings. However, network web services should not be affected.

During the outage, emergency calls from campus must be made by cell phone. Outdoor “blue light” emergency telephones will not work during the outage. Students and staff on campus will be able to reach the Campus Safety Office Facilities Management and Residence Life employees who are on duty, and through the Rothwell Student Center Information Desk during its operating hours from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 11 a.m. to midnight Sunday.
