Sylvia Maria Moline, 92, Lake Nebagamon, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at her home, surrounded by family.

Sylvia Maria Moline, 92, Lake Nebagamon, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2008, at her home, surrounded by family.

Sylvia was born June 2, 1915, in Ely, Minn., to the late Andrew W. and Mary (Luoma) Kari.

She was director of the Catholic Charities Bureau. She retired in 1998 from Superior Senior Housing. She was a member of the American Business Women’s Association for many years. Sylvia loved her flowers, birds, painting pictures and being with her family.

Among those who survive and gratefully shared her life are her two granddaughters, Rita (James) Fulton of Solon Springs and Laura (Darrell) Madgzas, Superior; four great-grandchildren and one sister, Laura Mutka of Ely.

She was preceded in death by four sons, Ray and Kay Little, Mauno and Milton Kivela; her first husband: August Kivela; second husband, Ray Little Sr., and third husband: George Moline.

A gathering will be from 1–2 p.m. Monday at the Brown Funeral Home in Solon Springs.
