Traveling team tryouts slated

The Superior Basketball Association is holding traveling team tryouts for the 2008-09 basketball season at the Superior Middle School.

Girls try out on April 7 and boys on April 10.

The teams are for boys and girls entering the sixth through eighth grades in the fall.

An $80 registration fee must be paid prior to the tryout in the form of check or money order. Cash will not be accepted. A parent or guardian is also required to attend the tryout.

The tryout schedule both nights is 6 to 7 p.m. for sixth-graders (current fifth graders); 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. for seventh graders (current 6th graders) and 7 to 8 p.m. for eight-graders (current seventh graders).

No uniforms or jerseys will be allowed and those trying out should arrive 15 minutes early.

There will be a travel team information session in the SMS cafetorium concurrent with the grade level tryout time.
