James D. Hill

James D. Hill, 83, Lakeville, Minn., died March 13, 2008. He was born in Grand Forks, N.D. and grew up in Superior, graduating from Central High School and Superior State College. He served during World War II in the South Pacific as a member of the 332nd Troop Carrier Wing of the Army Air Force.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Clifford and Alan. He is survived by his wife, the former Margaret Murphy of Superior; a son, Paul; and daughters, Jennifer Gertson, Julia (Mike) Kenny, Susan (Scott) Wright, Elizabeth (Dave) Rave; five grandchildren; and a sister, Margaret Rolley of Kansas City, Kansas

A private interment service was held at Fort Snelling Military Cemetery.
