Fishing licenses

MADISON (AP) — The state Assembly has passed a bill that would allow anglers to purchase one-day fishing licenses.

The licenses would cost $11.25 for state residents and nonresidents alike. The state Department of Natural Resources would be required to evaluate the program and report to the Legislature by Nov. 1, 2010. The program would end in February 2011.

The measure now goes to the state Senate.
