A customer set off the alarm at the Eagle’s Club on Sunday when he walked in to gamble.
The alarm activated at 11:57 a.m., according to a Superior police report by Officer Bonnie Johnson. The front door of the building, 1712 N. 12th St., had been left unlocked and an elderly man entered the club and started playing the nearest gaming machine.
“He was hard of hearing, so he did not notice the alarm going off,” Johnson wrote in her report. “He also did not mind there not being any lights on.”
The club keyholder responded to lock the building up, she reported. No mention was made of any citations.
