Solon Springs boys down LCO

The Solon Springs boys basketball team defeated La Courte Oreilles 82-38 in a WIAA Division 4 regional game Tuesday night in Solon Springs.

The Eagles, 13-8 on the season and the No. 1 seed in their section, will host No. 5 Drummond at 7 p.m. Thursday. The Lumberjacks advanced with a 44-38 win over Bayfield.

Ryne Slivensky led Solon Springs with 14 points. Jake Coughlin and Alex Rowe had 12 apiece, Tyler Luebbe 10, Kyle Polzin nine and Jonny Elmore and Tyler Garvey eight each.

“We took care of business in a game we should dominate,” SSHS coach Matt Burger said.

“All players got to see a lot of action and everyone scored.”

Devon Drobot led LCO with 19 points.
