Sands, Mason win bouts over weekend

Duluth boxers Al “The Haitian Temptation” Sands and Dustin Mason were victorious at a pair of boxing cards held Saturday.

Sands (7-1, 7 KOs) dispatched of veteran Jonathan Corn with a second-round technical knockout as part of a six-bout card at Crowne Plaza Hotel in St. Paul. Phil “The Drill” Williams earned a first-round TKO of Shujaa El Amin in the main event.

Mason (4-0, 4 KOs) earned a second-round TKO of Nathan Seelye on a six-bout card at the Red River Valley Fairgrounds in West Fargo, N.D. Tyler Hultin, Aaron “Gorilla” Green and former Minnesota Vikings defensive end Ray Edwards were among the other winners.
