Registration for Fitger’s 5K open

Registration is officially open for the 19th annual Fitger’s 5K Run & Walk scheduled for Saturday, April 19. Entry forms for the 3.1-mile race can be downloaded and printed at www.grandmasmarathon.com or picked up in the Fitger’s Inn lobby, Austin-Jarrow Sports, Anytime Fitness and many other sporting goods and fitness stores throughout the Twin Ports.

The pre-registration fee is $20 for entries received prior to April 17.

Late registration is $25 and will be available in the main lobby of Fitger’s between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. on Friday, April 18 and on the morning of the race between 7 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. in the August Fitger Room located on the third floor of Fitger’s.

Although race-day registration is available, runners are encouraged to pre-register in order to avoid delays on race morning. The race, which drew a record 934 registrants last year, begins at 9 a.m. in front of Fitger’s and travels through downtown Duluth and Canal Park before finishing back at Fitger’s.

An awards ceremony will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Fitger’s courtyard.
