The DTA will offer free rides and extend service times to accommodate those planning to celebrate the new year.
Bus service will be free after 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, including special “after midnight” bus service covering all major areas in Duluth and Superior. The last buses departing downtown Duluth will leave as late as 2:10 a.m. New Year’s Day. Fond-du-Luth Casino is covering the cost of the free rides.
The DTA will operate on its normal holiday schedule on New Year’s Day, running fewer buses and limiting service to the city of Duluth.
Full schedules for the two days are available at the DTA’s Downtown Transit Center, Fond-du-Luth Casino and online at www.duluthtransit.com.
