Ben Biewen added 16 points, five rebounds and five steals for the Gusties (3-5), who made 19 of 24 free throws to hold off the Yellowjackets (3-8).
Jarrod Peterson had 21 points and eight rebounds to lead UWS. Bronson Byrne (12 points), Trent Davis (11) and Johnquez Brooks (10) were also in double figures in scoring for the Yellowjackets, who continue tournament play at 3 p.m. today against St. Olaf.
