College women's basketball: Linzmeier lifts UWS over Eau Claire

UWS tops Eau Claire

Sophomore guard Sally Linzmeier continued her strong play with 24 points to lead Wisconsin-Superior to a 73-65 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Wednesday night at Mertz Mortorelli Gymnasium.

Linzmeier, coming off a 29-point performance in an 80-57 win over Wisconsin-La Crosse last weekend, added six rebounds, six steals and four assists for UWS (6-2 overall, 3-1 WIAC). Connie Urmanski and Kristen Nett chipped in with 15 points apiece, while Hillary Peterson added 12 points and seven rebounds.

Sarah Bingea and Madison Johnson combined for 27 points for Eau Claire (4-5, 2-2).
