Sherman appears on ‘Almanac North’

State Rep. Gary Sherman, D-Port Wing, appears tonight on “Almanac North” to talk about Wisconsin legislative news.

Among the topics at 8 p.m. tonight on Channel 8 is his reaction to Gov. James Doyle’s State of the State address this week.

Doyle cautioned that the national recession could impact the Wisconsin state budget. Other topics addressed by Sherman include the “e-waste” bill, tax fairness and the Great Lakes Compact.

Also featured tonight on “Almanac North” is the “Smiles Across Minnesota” free dental care program for children without dental insurance. The Duluth School District announced this week they will participate in the program.

“Almanac North” is repeated Sundays at 4:30 p.m. on PBS Channel 8.
