Officials suspect arson in Superior garage fire

A fire that caused about $15,000 damage to a garage and its contents in Superior on Sunday morning is a case of arson, officials say.

The Superior Fire Department responded to the fire in the detached garage at 416 Cumming Ave. about 8:20 a.m. Crews were able to extinguish the fire in time to save the structure, but a minivan inside the garage was a total loss, the fire department reported.

No one was injured. Crews were on the scene for about three hours.

Investigators were called to the scene and determined the fire was a case of arson. Anyone with information about the fire is asked to call 911.
