College women’s basketball: Linzmeier leads Yellowjackets

Sophomore guard Sally Linzmeier scored 29 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists and made four steals to lead Wisconsin-Superior to an 80-57 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over Wisconsin-La Crosse Saturday evening in Superior.

Sophomore guard Sally Linzmeier scored 29 points, grabbed six rebounds, dished out four assists and made four steals to lead Wisconsin-Superior to an 80-57 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory over Wisconsin-La Crosse Saturday evening in Superior.

The Yellowjackets (5-2 overall, 2-1 WIAC) led 31-25 at halftime, but they used a 49-32 second-half advantage to cruise to the win. Allyssa Lindberg and Connie Urmanski scored 12 and 11 points, respectively, for UWS. Maggi Bishop and Briana Radowicz each tallied 14 for the Eagles (3-5, 0-3).
