We’ll have some sunshine today as high pressure skirts the region to the north. Highs will get up to 25 this afternoon.

A low is approaching from the west Saturday, causing mostly cloudy skies, but we shouldn’t see any snow until the late evening. Lows will be near 14 and highs in the mid 20s.

Now all the models agree with bringing a low over the Northland on Sunday, giving us a 70 percent chance of snow throughout the day.

As of now it looks to be on the order of 2 to 4 inches, with more than 6 inches in spots. Lows will be around 17 and highs near 27. Lake-effect snow is possible for the South Shore Sunday night into Monday morning, with 4 to 8 inches possible. Lows will be around 7 and highs will be a chilly 18 for the afternoon as the low draws the arctic air southward over the region.
