If you’ve been yearning for Thin Mints and Samoas, the wait is nearly over.
Girl Scouts throughout Superior and Douglas County are taking part in the annual Girl Scout cookie sale. The sale runs through Feb. 3. This year, two new varieties of cookies will be available.
“All of the traditional favorites are back this year, but some will have new names,” said Karen Kjolhaug, membership development director from Girl Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin Lakes and Pines.
Cookies can be ordered by calling the local Girl Scout office in Duluth at 726-4710. Cookies are delivered the first two weeks in March.
Scouts also plan to sell cookies at booths in local malls and other sites from March through May.
Money earned from the sale supports individual troops and the local Girl Scout council. The money is used for programs and events throughout the entire year.
