This time, the proof was in the ice cream.

Chef Jake Gandolfo, who appeared on Gordon Ramsay’s TV show “MasterChef,” raised $4,582 for Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank during last week’s “Feeding Our Future … an Ice Cream Social” event in Superior.

“The results are fantastic,” Shaye Moris, Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank executive director, said in a news release. “The proceeds will allow us to rescue and distribute enough food for 22,910 meals throughout Northeastern Minnesota and Northwestern Wisconsin.”

Gandolfo said he plans to make his next stop somewhere on the East Coast.
