Two injured in motorcycle crash south of Superior

Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening at the U.S. Highways 2 and 53 interchange south of Superior.

Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash Sunday evening at the U.S. Highways 2 and 53 interchange south of Superior.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a Harley-Davidson motorcycle operated by Mark Misun, 53, of Ashland, was traveling eastbound just after 6 p.m. when Misun attempted to avoid a vehicle changing lanes ahead of him, and crashed.

Misun and a passenger, Susan Misun, 51, also of Ashland, were transported to Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth with what the State Patrol called non-life-threatening injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
