Twin Ports officials seek ID of man near scene of arson fires

The surveillance video images were shot on May 22, police said.

Duluth and Superior arson investigators are seeking the public’s help in identifying a man pictured in a surveillance video around the time of two fires in West Duluth.

Duluth police said in a news release that the images were shot on May 22.

The Duluth Fire and Police departments and the Superior Police Department are investigating a string of arson fires in the Twin Ports. In Duluth, 10 arson cases have similar attributes, the news release said.

Anyone with information is asked to call Todd Kuusisto, the Duluth police arson investigator, at (218) 730-5080 or the arson hotline at (800) 723-2020. You also can sign up for I-Watch Duluth and text in tips from your mobile phone.

The Minnesota Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators is offering rewards up to $2,500 for information.
