A two-car accident in a construction area on Interstate 35 in Duluth caused minor injuries to nine people Friday afternoon.
A two-car accident in a construction area on Interstate 35 in Duluth caused minor injuries to nine people Friday afternoon.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 1995 Ford Windstar van with seven people in it rear-ended a 2002 Buick LeSabre about 1:20 p.m. in the northbound lanes near 27th Avenue West, where Minnesota Department of Transportation workers are putting final touches on the I-35 reconstruction project.
The driver of the van, Tenisha Irvine, 24, of Spooner, suffered minor injuries as did the seven passengers in her van. Three of them were children, ages 2 to 4, and four were adults age 21 to 35.
The Buick was driven by Stephanie Olson, 27, of Superior; she also suffered minor injuries.
The State Patrol is continuing to investigate the accident.
