Friday is Bike to Work Day in the Twin Ports, a good chance to see whether your commute can also be part of your daily exercise regimen.
If you work in downtown Duluth or Superior you can stop in at bicycle stations in Lake Superior Plaza and City Center Park from 6:30-8:30 a.m. for Bike to Work rewards. You can pick up a quick bite and a bike map, learn to use the bike racks on the buses and have a bike mechanic look over your ride.
If you’re worried about getting to work in a sweat, you can shower at the YMCA in Duluth or UWS in Superior.
P.S. Word is Mayor Don Ness will be biking from City Hall to Zeitgeist Arts Café at noon for lunch. You’re welcome to pedal along.
