Pets of the week for April 10, 2012
Tesse, a 4-year-old border collie mix, and Teiva, a 4- to 5-year-old yellow Lab mix, are dogs available for adoption.
Tesse is a 4-year-old border collie mix available for adoption through Animal Allies Humane Society Superior. She is an amazingly sweet dog who loves to play, and is calm, gentle, friendly and very smart. Tesse is happy around new people and most children, but tends to feel a little uncomfortable around younger children. Animal Allies recommends she doesn’t go to a home with children younger than 6.
An adoption fee is required for all adoptions. Animal Allies uses the “Meet your Match” adoption program designed by the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. The program evaluates an animal’s behavior and interests and matches them to an adopter’s preferences so you take home a pet you really click with. Call (715) 394-7387 or visit www.animalallies.net for more information.
Animal Allies will be at the Arrowhead Home & Builders Show from 10 a.m. to
11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Teiva is a 4- to 5-year-old yellow Labrador mix available for adoption through Chequamegon Humane Association in Ashland. Teiva knows lots of tricks! She has been trained with positive reinforcement to sit, lie down, and obey many other commands. She is very playful and engaging, isn’t the best with cats and is very picky about her dog friends — but she is wonderful with people!
An adoption fee is required for all adoptions. Call (715) 682-9744 or go to www.CHAadopt.org for more information.
