We’re told there still are a few spots left in the Superior Police Department’s annual Citizens Police Academy.

The eight-week program gives you a chance to learn about law enforcement, working hands-on with police officers, evidence technicians, supervisors and detectives.

The classes run 6-10 p.m. Wednesdays beginning March 21, plus one session on a Saturday morning. The class is free but candidates must be 21, live or work in Superior and pass a background check.

Applications, due Friday, are available at the police department, (715) 395-7450, or here.

We welcome your submissions and suggestions. Drop us a line at Eh?, Duluth News Tribune newsroom, 424 W. First St., Duluth, MN 55802, or news@duluthnews.com.
