    DULUTH / SUPERIOR

  • Miller Hill Mall in Duluth is closing at 1 p.m.

  • The City of Duluth offices and facilities, including the Duluth Police Desk, will close immediately, as of 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, due to deteriorating weather conditions, with the exception of essential services. City offices will resume regular business tomorrow.

  • United Presbyterian Church, Superior Soup Supper and Worship have been canceled for Wednesday.

  • All activities including Lenten Vespers Service are cancelled for Christ Ev. Lutheran Church, 320 N 28th Street East, Superior, WI

  • Soup Supper and all religious education classes at Holy Family Catholic Church in Duluth are canceled Wednesday.

  • Duluth Transit Authority: Due to blizzard conditions and road conditions on the hillside, the DTA will be reverting to its emergency winter-weather schedule, effective at 11:30 a.m.

    Other than the “mainline service” along Superior Street and Grand Avenue between 61st Avenue East in Lakeside (Route No. 7) and Commonwealth and McCuen Street in New Duluth (Route No. 2), all DTA routes will be canceled after 11:30 a.m., including route Nos. 16 and 17 in Superior.

    The Emergency Winter Weather Schedule runs every half-hour with the last bus departing downtown tonight for Lakeside (61st Avenue East) will be 10:40 p.m.; and the last bus to New Duluth (Commonwealth and McCuen) will be 11:10 p.m. Wednesday.   • Christ Lutheran Church, Duluth, has canceled their soup supper/Lenten worship services for Wednesday. They are rescheduled for 5 and 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

  • The Duluth Boys and Girls Club will offer no programming Wednesday, due to dangerous weather conditions.

  • The Duluth Zoo is closed, and Parks and Recreation skating at the Heritage Center and Bayfront Park are canceled.

  • Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Duluth on Wednesday night Lenten services are canceled.

  • All Wednesday events at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Superior, including a Weight Watchers meeting, have been canceled.

  • Human Development Center (HDC) will be closing its Cloquet, Superior and Duluth offices at 10:30 a.m. The Two Harbors and Grand Marais offices will remain open as scheduled. The HDC Two Harbors office is closing at 11 a.m. due to the weather. The Grand Marais office will remain open as scheduled.

  • Hearing Associates in Duluth will be closed Wednesday.

  • Animal Allies is closed Wednesday in both Duluth and Superior.

  • WLSSD Materials Recovery Center is closed Wednesday.

  • JC Penney at the Miller Hill Mall is closed Wednesday (mall itself remains open)

  • Wednesday Night Services at Jesus is Life Ministries in West Duluth are canceled, including Children’s and Quest Youth.

  • West Duluth Business Club meeting at noon (Mr. D's) is canceled.

  • Salem Lutheran Church, Hermantown, 4715 Hermantown Rd. - Wednesday Lenten soup supper and service canceled

  • Sylvan Learning Center

  • Community Action Duluth Free Tax Site at Laura MacArthur Elementary is cancelled for tonight - please call 726-1665 to reschedule

  • Concordia Lutheran Church, 2501 Woodland Avenue, Duluth - all Wednesday activities canceled

  • Balach Dental in West Duluth is closed

  • Goodwill's administrative office will be closed Wednesday

  • All A.E.O.A. Senior Dining sites are closed Wednesday. These sites include, Morgan Park, Evergreen, Lincoln Park Center, Rainbow Center, Duluth Heights and Portman.

  • A.E.O.A. Meals On Wheels Program in Duluth and Hermantown is canceled Wednesday.

  • Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Duluth's Lent Wednesday schedule is canceled - both the 11 a.m. prayer service and the 5:30 p.m. supper / 7 p.m. service.

  • The Adult Day Services program at Benedictine Health Center is closed Wednesday.

  • The Greysolon Toastmasters group that meets Wednesday mornings at 6:45 a.m. has been canceled for Feb. 29.

  • NAMI Family Support Group at 6 p.m. Tuesday and NAMI speaker at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Miller-Dwan are canceled.

  • Superior Christian Women's Gathering at Barker's Island Inn for Wednesday has been canceled.

  • The state tournament sendoff for the Superior High School boys hockey team for Wednesday has been canceled due to the team leaving Tuesday.

  • Minnesota Duluth women's basketball game against Minnesota State-Mankato at Romano Gym in Duluth has been rescheduled for 3 p.m. Thursday.

  • All confirmation classes, soup supper, services, and rehearsals cancelled at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Duluth on Wednesday are canceled.

  • Oneida Realty Company and Oneida Building Services will not be cleaning any buildings Wednesday evening. All evening shifts have been canceled.

  • Art of Local Food fundraiser and silent auction at the Depot from 6-8:30 p.m. Wednesday has been canceled. Questions? Call (218) 722-4583.

    SURROUNDING AREA

  • Hermantown Community Church has canceled all services tonight,

    Feb. 29, for adults, youth and children.

  • Pack & Mail Station in Cloquet and Pack & Mail Plus in West Duluth, 4602 Grand Ave., are closed Wednesday.

  • Iron Range Resources and Rehabilitation Board (IRRRB) administrative office in Eveleth and the Mineland Reclamation office in Chisholm are now closed for the day (Wednesday).

  • Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank’s Gordon Food Distribution will not take place Wednesday

  • The memorial and funeral services for Charlotte M. Zacher, 99, of Carlton, have been rescheduled to 11 a.m. and noon Thursday at Handevidt Funeral Home, 900 Washington Ave. in Cloquet.

  • The Moose Lake office of American Family insurance will be closed Wednesday

  • Lenten services at St. Matthew's Lutheran in Esko are postponed until Thursday. Soup supper at 5:30 p.m. and Lent worship at 6:30 p.m.
