UWS tops St. Scholastica
Ashlee Olson scored two goals, including the game-winner with 5:50 remaining in the third period, to lift Wisconsin-Superior to a 4-2 Northern Collegiate Hockey Association victory over St. Scholastica on Friday at Mars Lakeview Arena.
Olson scored midway through the second period to give UWS (15-6-3 overall, 13-4-2 NCHA) a 2-1 advantage and then, after Monika Waidacher scored her 10th goal of the season for the Saints to tie the game, netted her third goal of the season. Kiara DeKezel added an unassisted goal with 2:06 to play.
Yellowjackets goaltender Shanley Peters made 22 saves; Rachel Borchardt stopped 31 shots for St. Scholastica (12-7-5, 10-6-3).
