Authorities have identified the two people killed Friday in a two-car crash on Tower Avenue in the Village of Superior.
According to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office, a northbound Ford Explorer crossed the center line on Tower Avenue at 69th Street at about 5 p.m., and was struck by a southbound Ford Escape. The Explorer then rolled into a ditch.
The driver of the Explorer, Harry Wilson, 49, and a passenger, Frances Jones, 41, both of Superior, were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Escape, Joan Radzak, 46, of rural Superior, was transported to Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. Her condition was not immediately available.
The accident remains under investigation by the Douglas County's Sheriff's Office and the county medical examiner.
