Trapshooting: The Superior Trap & Gun Club Winter League will begin on Sunday, Jan. 8, and continue through March 25. The shooting schedule is Jan. 8, 15 and 29; Feb. 12 and 26; and March 11 and 25. The club will open on those dates at 11 a.m. for league and public trapshooting.
Nordic skiing: Despite a meager amount of snowfall in many areas of the Northland, the folks at Snowflake Nordic Ski Center in Duluth report that its entire trail system is open for skiing.
