Hoodie Allen hip hop show canceled

Due to an illness, hip hop star Hoodie Allen has canceled his Thursday show at Wessman Arena in Superior.  Twin Ports Entertainment was notified of the decision Tuesday. In a release, the entertainment company listed a Tweet from Allen that was posted Sunday: “I have been battling a terrible chest infection leaving me with no voice and strict orders from doctors to take a break or risk perm damage.”

Those who purchased tickets online will be refunded within the next two weeks. Those who purchased tickets at Dubh Linn Irish Brew Pub can return their tickets during regular business hours to receive a refund. Tickets must be returned by May 16 to receive the refund. Ticket refunds at local college campuses will also take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and May 12 at the University of Minnesota Duluth’s Kirby Student Center, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday and May 12 at the College of St. Scholastica’s student union and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the University of Wisconsin-Superior’s Yellowjacket Union.
