Unauthorized parody imagines ‘Peanuts’ as teens

It’s your last chance to see a ‘Peanuts” inspired performance at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.

“Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead,” begins at 7:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday in the experimental theater in Holden Fine and Applied Arts Center, 1805 Catlin Ave.

This unauthorized parody imagines characters from the popular comic strip as teenagers. Charlie Brown and the gang deal with issues that face teenagers today, such as drug use, suicide, eating disorders, teen violence, rebellion, sexual relations and identity. Due to the mature themes, the show is not for all audiences.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and non-UWS students and $2 for UWS students. Tickets may be purchased at the box office in Holden
