It all happens Tuesday at the University of Wisconsin-Superior Douglas County Veterans Expo, which runs 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Yellowjacket Union.

The free event is the first of what is planned to be an annual resource, benefits and education fair for Duluth-Superior and Douglas County veterans and their families, and Twin Ports VA employees.

Wisconsin Veteran Affairs Secretary John Scocos delivers the keynote address and answers questions.

Featured speaker is Dick Gaither, known as “America’s Wizard of Work,” who will lead a workshop and a session on resume and job search tactics.

Dick Bolles of “What Color Is Your Parachute?” fame calls Dick Gaither “One of the most riveting job search trainers in the country.”

More than 20 local, state and federal agencies that serve veterans and others also will be on hand with informational displays.

A Panel of experts incuding Scocos, Dr. Clyde Markon of the Twin Ports VA Outpatient Clinic, Trevor Welsch, Douglas County’s veterans service officer, Tom Casey of Workforce Development’s veterans center and Carl Huber of the UWS Veteran and Nontraditional Student Center, is featured at 12:30 p.m.

Free parking is available Tuesday in Lots 2 and 11 outside the Yellowjacket Union.
