Three join Essentia Health medical staff
Dr. Thomas Malloy, a gastroenterologist, joined the Essentia Health-Duluth Clinic in Duluth. Dr. Malloy earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. He served a residency in internal medicine at University of Michigan Hospitals in Ann Arbor, Mich., and completed a fellowship in gastroenterology-hepatology at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. He spent the past 24 years practicing in Milwaukee.
Nurse Practitioner Jan Broad joined Essentia Health Convenient Care-Superior. This new walk-in clinic is located adjacent to Super One Foods, 2022 E. Second St. Broad earned a master’s degree in nursing from California State University in Fresno, Calif. He is certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
Nurse Practitioner Theresa Hutzler joined the Trauma/Critical Care Department at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth. Hutzler earned a master’s degree in nursing from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Mo. She is certified as an adult and gerontology acute care nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
