Superior police investigate possible home invasion
Superior police are looking for information concerning a 24-year-old man believed to be involved in a dispute and possible home invasion burglary attempt.
According to a new release issues by Deputy Chief Nicholas Alexander:
Police responded to a disturbance in a residential neighborhood shortly before 2 p.m. today.
Officers made contact with the resident and it was determined that a dispute and possible burglary/home invasion attempt had taken place. During the altercation, the resident fired a handgun at the alleged intruder.
The alleged intruder has been identified as Sean Richard Sanigar, 24, of Superior.
The resident told police he believes he struck Sanigar when he fired the handgun. Sanigar was last seen fleeing the area.
Sanigar was described as wearing a white tank top and having a cast or ace bandage wrap on one of his arms. The police department has received several anonymous tips that Sanigar had been injured as a result of this incident; however no one has provided his whereabouts.
The Superior Police Department is seeking the community’s help in locating Sanigar to determine if he is in need of emergency medical attention and to document his version of events.

This is an ongoing investigation and no arrests have been made.
