Superior man charged with trading meth for sex
A Superior man accused of trading methamphetamine for sex has been charged with prostitution.
Cash bail of $500 was set to cover both this case and a separate court file accusing him of three counts of disorderly conduct. He is to have no contact with the victim, Menards or any of the store’s employees and no use or possession of controlled substances.
According to the criminal complaint:
Wohlwend supplied meth to a 19-year-old man on an almost daily basis for about three months. At some point, the two began having sex, both intercourse and oral sex. The 19-year-old told Superior Police Detective Chris Moe that Wohlwend would give him meth in exchange for sex, estimating they had more than 100 sexual encounters. He said the sex was consensual most times and other times he would just give in and not fight Wohlwend.
If convicted, Wohlwend faces a maximum penalty of up to nine months in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. His next court appearance is set for July.
