Superior man accused of 8th drunk driving offense
Christopher Albin Johnson, 33, faces felony operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-eighth offense.
According to the criminal complaint:
Johnson’s vehicle was pulled over June 19 in connection with a separate incident.
Superior Police Officer Todd Maas could smell an odor of intoxicants coming from Johnson and his speech was slow and deliberate with a slight slur. Johnson performed poorly on field sobriety tests and a weak sample on a preliminary breath alcohol test registered at 0.159 percent.
Cash bail was lowered to $500 at Wednesday’s hearing and Johnson was ordered not to drive without a valid license or permit and not to use or consume alcohol. His next court appearance is Aug. 8.
