South Range man injured in Gordon crash
A South Range man was injured in a two-car crash Saturday in Gordon.
The Douglas County Sheriff's office responded to a two-car crash at the intersection of County Highway Y and US HIghway 53 in Gordon at 2:37 p.m., according to a release from the sheriff's office.
A 1990 Chrysler New Yorker, driven by Robert Lewis, 57, of South Range, was northbound on Highway 53 in the construction zone at Highway Y when a 2006 Chevy Silverado, driven by Jesse Severin, 33, of Superior, pulled out from the eastbound stop sign at highway Y and into the driver's side of the New Yorker.
Lewis was transported to an area hospital by Gordon-Wascott Ambulance Service. The Gordon Volunteer Fire Department also assisted at the scene.
Motorists are urged to slow down and pay extra attention while traveling through construction zones.
