HASTINGS, Minn. -- Skeletal remains were found Wednesday afternoon by crews working on a new CVS Pharmacy in Hastings.
Authorities secured the area, and early indications are that the remains have been there for “many years,” said Hastings Police Chief Bryan Schafer.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was contacted and sent the medical examiner’s office. A team of archaeologists was dispatched to Hastings to begin the process of recovering the remains, which will be examined in a laboratory to learn as much as possible about them.
Crews worked into Wednesday night to recover all the remains.
