SHS boys drop sixth straight

The Superior High School boys basketball team suffered its sixth straight defeat with a 82-72 loss Saturday afternoon at Minneapolis Southwest.

The Spartans (4-7) outscored the Lakers 51-41 in the second half, but it came after they were outscored 41-21 in the first half.

Carter Anderson led Superior with 20 points, which include four 3-pointers. Connor Gray added 14 points, Jake Libal had 13 and Matt O’Shaughnessy 11.

 Cam Ross led Minneapolis Southwest with 17 points.

Superior hosts Duluth East at 5:45 p.m. Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader. The girls game followed at 7:30 p.m.
