Send greetings to service members, veterans

Senior Connections invites you to send Christmas wishes to service members and veterans.

On Dec. 3, take a few minutes and stop by the Senior Connections at 1805 N. 16th Street, Superior, between 9 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Senior Connections will supply Christmas cards and all you have to do is stop in to sign a card for service members and veterans.

Senior Connections passes the cards onto the American Red Cross for distribution.

Each year, the American Red Cross provides assistance to more than 2 million service members and many of our nation's 24 million veterans. They support military families, military and veterans hospitals and provide emergency communications across the globe.

Once a year, the organization gets the joy of delivering holiday greetings to veterans, military families and active-duty service members at hospitals and installations around the world. The cards and personal messages, sent by tens of thousands of Americans, provide a welcome touch of home for our troops during the holiday season.

Cards are collected between October and early December.
