Robert James Willis
Robert James Willis, (Rob/Robbie) passed away Feb. 1, 2014, in Peoria, Ariz. after a lengthy illness.
Rob was born in Superior, Wis., April 26, 1954, to Minor and Marcella Willis. Rob lived here until he moved to Arizona in 1985.
Rob graduated from Superior Senior High School in 1972. He served four years in the United States Marine Corp. He worked in construction in Mesa, Ariz. He also worked many years at the Belknap Liquor Store, prior to moving to Arizona. Rob loved hockey, he played in his younger years and coached later on. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan. He loved Arizona and he loved the family cabin on Lake Minnesuing. He was devoted to family and friends. Rob also loved coming up north to go motorcycling with Mike Scharte and the gang.
He was preceded in death by his father, and brothers; Gary and Michael.
Rob is survived by his wife Joni, son Adam, daughter Lindsay (Sean Hamlet) and granddaughter Olivia. Also his mother Marcie Willis Johnson, sisters Linda Moreau, Blaine, Minn., Arlene (Jeff) Farmer, Brooklyn Park, Minn, Patti Rockwood, Mesa, Ariz., Lori (Scott) Rabideaux and Kelley (Richard) Warn of Lake Nebagamon. He was also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends.
A celebration of Rob's life is pending for July 2014 in Wisconsin.
