Quam, Sanda named Student Rotarians
Courtney Quam and Matthew Sanda, seniors at Superior High School, were selected Student Rotarians for January by the Superior Rotary Club.
Quam is a member of the National Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, serves as a Senior Mentor, and is the treasurer of the Key Club. She also participates in the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program. Next fall, Quam plans to attend Arizona State University to major in business management and minor in realty and psychology. She is the daughter of Susan and David Quam.
Sanda is a member of the National Honor Society, captain of the Spartan Football Team, and the Spartan Track and Field Team. He is a leader in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and is a member of the off-season weight lifting program. He also participates in the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program. Quam plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh or Minnesota State University-Mankato, to major in law enforcement or criminal justice. He is the son of Sue and Dave Sanda.
During the school year, Student Rotarians attend Rotary meetings and provide club members with opportunities to learn about high school programs and activities as well as the accomplishments and concerns of Superior youth. Each year, the Superior Rotary Club awards two scholarships to students graduating from Superior High School. Information is available from school counselors.
