Over the last 21 years, the annual event for Superior and Douglas County has raised $1 million.

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer. Remember loved ones who have lost their fight against cancer and fight back against the disease. At the Relay, teams of people camp out at the Wessman Arena Track and take turns walking or running around the track. Each team is asked to have a team member on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events and could last up to 24 hours.

This year’s relay begins at 6 p.m. July 11 and runs through 8 a.m. July 12.
