Pilgrim Lutheran offers community education
Pilgrim Community School is offering a number of classes for the public this spring at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 820 Belknap St.
Ongoing fitness classes run every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
And speakers from Thrivent Financial Services tackle a number of financial issues during three free classes.
The first, “Retire with Confidence” begins at 7 p.m. April 8. The workshop will address six key risks that retirees face, including outliving income and rising health care costs.
The second workshop, “Social Security: Strategize to Maximize,” begins at 7 p.m. May 13. Mistakes involving Social Security can be costly. This workshop will help participants sort through questions to ensure that the choices they make are tailored to their needs.
“Preparing for Long-Term Care: A Gift Your Family Deserves” begins at 7 p.m. June 10. The workshop addresses long-term care, and how your family can prepare for the unexpected.
Although there is no cost for the financial workshops, participants must register for them at least a week in advance.
The registration form can be found online at www.plcsuperior.org/community_school or picked up at the church, 820 Belknap St.
