Patricia Pearl Miller, 86 of Superior passed away peacefully on Dec., 23, 2013 at the Villa Marina Health & Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Superior on Feb. 20, 1927 to Pearl and Raleigh Bangs.

She attended Central High School of Superior. She married William T. Miller on Nov. 25, 1943.

Patricia joined the staff of the old St. Mary's Hospital in 1954 as a nurses' aid. She worked there for over 19 years. She went on to work at St. Joseph's Hospital, Memorial Hospital and St. Francis' Nursing Home, all of Superior. She retired in 1988.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William; her infant twin sons, Michael and Patrick; her brothers and sisters, Chauncey, Harold, Fern, Donna Mae, Margaret and Gail.

She is survived by her two sons, William (Anita) of Racine, Wis. and Mark (Mary Ann) of Duluth; two grandsons, Travis (Ann) Miller and Ted (Carolyn) Miller; a granddaughter, Andrea (Eric) Smith; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Ethan and Amelia Miller, Cara Cribari, and Kellen and Brynn Smith; and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was a generous and caring person and will be missed by her family.

Patricia's family would like to thank her doctors, the staff of Essentia Health's Cancer Care Unit, The Solvay House, and Villa Marina for their loving care of her. A special thanks to Mark and Penny Johnson, and Penny's sisters, Robin and Theresa, for giving their "Auntie" joy.

Visitation will begin one hour prior to the 1 p.m. Mass of Christian urial on Friday, Dec. 27 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church with Rev. James Tobolski as celebrant. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
