North Country RIDE holds orientation for volunteers
North Country RIDE Volunteer Orientation runs 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 5 at the North Country Ride Farm, 180 Hatinen Road, Esko. This short orientation brings new and returning volunteers together to tour the facility, learn about volunteer opportunities, discuss center policy and demonstrate class activities.
A variety of volunteer opportunities exist. Volunteers are needed to assist with horses and riders during classes, condition horses, assist in the office or with facility and grounds maintenance. North Country RIDE offers horse-facilitated activities for children and adults challenged by a wide variety of special needs. North Country R.I.D.E.’s mission is to promote personal growth and development through equine assisted therapeutic, educational and recreational activities. It was started in 1982 to provide services to individuals throughout northeastern Minnesota and northwestern Wisconsin.
