Nelson wins four titles in city bowling tournament
The 2014 Miller Lite Superior Area Bowling Association’s City Tournament wrapped up this weekend with Village/TAT II winning the open division team championship. Members of the winning team were Mike Higgins, Lezlee Nelson, Kevin McClary and Todd Savoy.
Nelson was also the women’s all-event winner and teamed with Jen Androsky, Becky Feller and Rhonda Feller to win the women’s team title and the women’s doubles title with Becky Feller.
Mitch Meyers won the open all-event and the open singles actual titles. Tyler Olson was the handicap winner in open singles.
Steven Paulson and Ryan Chase won the open division doubles titles, and Tyler Olson and Mitch Meyers won open singles titles.
Julie Meysman was the women’s singles winner and was a member of the winning mixed team with Michelle and Brian Schlais and TJ Bergren.
In mixed doubles, Brian and Michelle Schlais won the handicap title, and Pat Erickson and Barb Hoag had the best actual score.
Tournament winners will receive their awards at the SABA Hall of Fame Banquet Saturday at the Elk’s Lodge. The banquet begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner served at 6:30 p.m.
