Movies hit mark for kids with special needs
Duluth Cinema is one of more than a dozen Marcus Theaters offering “Reel Movies for Real Needs” screenings this summer. The family films are presented with lower sound volume and brighter lighting for special needs children with autism and other challenges who may not be comfortable at a regular show.
These special screenings are an opportunity for families to enjoy first run films in a low stress, safe, welcoming and inclusive environment. Regular matinee adult and child pricing applies. All show times are 10:30 a.m. “How to Train Your Dragon 2” on Saturday. “Planes: Fire and Rescue” is featured July 18. Families can enjoy “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” on Aug. 9.
