Michael Doskey, 50, a resident of Eau Claire, and formerly of Superior, died on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the Middle River Nursing Home.
Michael Eugene Doskey was born on Nov. 8, 1963, in Duluth, Minn., to parents Eugene and Barbara (Dull) Doskey. He attended school through the 11th grade in Maple and then transferred to Solon Springs where he attended his senior year and graduated from. After graduation, he lived in Superior for almost 20 years before moving to Eau Claire 3 years ago, and recently back to the Solon Springs area due to health reasons. Michael was very active and proud of his achievements in the Special Olympics earning 6 gold medals for running in Track events. He was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed sports of all kinds but especially basket ball and bowling.
Michael is survived by his parents Gene and Barb of Solon Springs, brothers; Richard of Superior, Joseph (Sherry) of Bennett, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 30, at 3 p.m., at the Evergreen Cemetery in Solon Springs with Rev.. James Kinney officiating. Brown Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
